"WOW, I can not rave about this movie more then I have to friends and family. This is the most up lifting movie with such a deviant twist. Amelie almost invites you into her world that has you sitting on the edge laughing at her at her expense. She portrays herself as such a quiet shy girl but do not be fooled she has a side that gives you best deserts without you feeling a side of remorse or regret. The story line is by far a master piece in fact it reminds me of a like like the movie the Dinner game (Dîner de cons, Le (1998) written and directed by Francis Veber. By far another great movie. Although I do not have the dinner game in my library I wish I did. But I do have Amelie, going to load in the dvd now before calling it a night. " [More]

"I really enjoyed this film, now I will say that I took me far longer to sit down and watch it since I heard so many reviews, mixed bad, worst ever and so forth. Now I am not to sure if it was because I heard so many bad reviews that I liked it so. I was not to sure what to expect and in fact I did not even watch the trailers. By far this is a great movie, very well put together with so many stories that all meld into one at the end I could not help but be involved in the part Jim Carrey played. I did in fact add this to my library, since such date I have watched it three times and once with a girlfriend who as ell loved it. NOW this is a Sunday night / rainy day movie by your self movie or with a girlfriend but do not expect to get some loving at the end or the feel you are going to take on the world. It’s a ponder and think about it type. " [More]

"Okay. For go others who dislike the movie, hey I am not going to fight with you I completely agree with you. I just want to add a few points to the movie I wish to add. They should have dropped Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), her role became a mood point in the middle of the second movie. Okay she helped the movie move along in the first movie. It kick started the second and I guess ended the second one. Sort of made sense to have her in the third movie but I think in all fairness it just slowed the movie down and brought a childish feel to the movie but with a big budget. Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) I thought before the end of the movie I was going to see him at least yawn with all the love story that was going on. I would have. I would have to say I saw it, (it was a rental) not going to be added to my library. " [More]

"What is it that brings films to such point of trying to be something its not. Okay the story line as weak as it might be could have had a good chance of life if it was not due to the fact that for the most part of the beginning all I could laugh at was the action shots. Jumping off walls, leaping over things. Okay so these large groups of people are wolfs. ( now I will not get into the really bad special effects ) and this girl and no pun intended seems to be the black sheep, not wanting to be a part of the pack, a simple artist who comes across this girl and becomes intrigued with her. As he follows leads that bring him to this town what I thought was a large city but the movie portrays as it’s a small town in the out skirts of a European town, Lots of mixed directions in the movie. Well the movie goes on killings attacks and …. You know if they just took out the whole we are wolfs out, dropped the special want to be effects out. It could have had a chance to be in m ...
