    RevoLOUtion  (2006)

WOW!!! Spout has this filmmaker PUMPED.  I am the director of RevoLOUtion and having battled to get my film out there, and even putting it in LA and NY theatres allowing audiences to PAY AFTER THE MOVE,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nT3Xy7-I3k0 , I finally feel like the movie has found it's champion.
Spout is giving my obsessive handcrafting of this project, the audience it deserves. YOU. So, I really look forward to seeing what happens on this site. And i'm gonna answer every question, and see that I populate this site with every bit of juice that is interesting to you guys. I love people that realize that film is the Church/Temple/ Roman Colliseum of this generation, a mystical place where soul transformation can take place.

I really fucked up on our theatrical release by  self aggrandizing our pr campaign with "spin" that PISSED critics off. I mean of course telling a frustrated filmmaker that you have the greatest thing since sliced bread, and that you got the writer of THE DEER HUNTER to join you on 100grand was stupid, so our critical responses fell far short of what I had hoped would drive theatrical traffic. However, the audience reactions allowed us to make national news since we made a little more in LA via people paying after, than if we had charged for tickets. Of course we pressured 'em with donation buckets and pretty girls, but the film works, i'm so proud of it, and I want to hear what you think.

    And if I may offer a pre-review:
RevoLOUtion is an experiment into following the transformation of a man on film. And we (the writer of THE DEER HUNTER and I) structured it around an ancient Rite of Passage, so that the audience would go through  the psychological near death of Lou, the main character, as he loses the stutter (and whatever that is to you) that cripples him from moving forward in his life. So enjoy and viva la RevoLOUtion!!!
    Love,
    Bret Carr
