"This film breathes life into the idea that maybe we cannot see or know these people, but things can drive a person to create another within themselves, to be the opposite. It will excuse them from having to forgive themselves from doing certain things, things they may not consciencely be aware of, but they do things, in that "personality" that they would not do within the lifestyle of their normality or daily life. It also shows that nothing is ever complete. You may have the perfect life, the perfect apartment, girl, etc, but anything can destroy it. Even yourself. Ever deep, extremely violent, but deliously tasteful. Shows that cinema has indeed come along way. " [More]
Saved the franchise

"So, I just did a review of Spider-man 3 and kind of lied. There are probably a few other comic book movies that I loved to death, but just forgot about them, this being one of them. Frank Miller (mind my language) is a f***ing genius, he may be dark and twisted but his stories respect the characters in the comics that he creates. The first Batman was brilliant, with Jack Nicholson as the joker, because you could actually take the movie seriously. Then the second was still in the realm of being taken for a serious attempt and then.. downward spiral. It just got worse and worse from there, creating the batman suit and adding robin was just....a joke to the franchise. I remember watching those movies and wondering if I was being tricked and the real thing was coming out later. But then Batman Begins came out.Holy.. It starts out slow, with some good old fashioned character development, and it kicks you from behind and it makes you feel like there is hope for the movie industry ... " [More]
Growing on me

"Don't get me started about comic book movies. They piss me off. The only one's I liked were Sin City and 300 (with the exception of x-men one and two). I don't know what it is about the idea of actually following the written word, or written word and image of a story. Having already been illustrated I would assume it would make casting and producing a movie in the genre MUCH easier than they've made it. That said, the first was great, the second.. falling down into darkness. And then this, with the whole.... (WATCH OUT....spoiler ahead!) tag team thing going on was cute, but you know, that just didn't happen. But this is entertainment, we aren't all critics, so just to rate it and not to rip it I would have to say I guess I would give a 6 or a 7. Cute little love story even for the kids. " [More]

"I think that this is probably a good way to go out, unless of course they're going to continue to beat a dead house. Which that case, like they actually ended this one, it will be an interesting chance to see them...do that. Johnny Depp was insane, and the rest of the cast were amazing, never a dull moment, very long but it seemed to go by really quickly will the amusing fighting dialog. A++ I am glad I actually saw this one in the theatre, it was huge on the epic scale. " [More]

"This film was definitely interesting. Although I've never been a critic, or a film school student, or anything like that, I have to come to realize that a lot of art is dying off. Major motion pictures most of the time are not fully in control of the creative aspect of the movie. This film was striking, breathtaking and chilling. Something to be respected. It's too bad that the debt had to come from it, but with the help of this site, you will be on your way. Congratulations and continue to build more amazing work. " [More]
