"I saw it, too, but since I haven't seen the BBC version (I will rush over to borrow yours, Ingrid), I can't compare. I think it's hard to take your eyes off from Keira, except what was up with all the racoon makeup? Did they use kohl back in Austen's day? Other than that, I thought she was quite good. I would rather they had cast Clive Owen as Darcy, but then, that's a personal bias (can't take eyes off him, either). I decided in the end that a movie is a movie and a book is a book and never the twain shall fully meet. You just have to enjoy the popcorn and the scenery in slightly different ways. " [More]

"I think anything you can get wet is essential. Like pleather. Why wear leather when you can wear something that looks just (almost) like it and is cheaper and waterproof? As for suede, the more the better. Skirt, boots, coat. Great for going to the movies, when you have to sit on itchy seats. " [More]
