Alfred HItchcock Named Greatest ...

Alfred Hitchcock
"There are a lot of great directors out there, but Alfred Hitchcock has been named #1 in an online poll. Hitchcock beat out Scorcese, Francis Ford Coppola and Stanley Kubrick to name a few. I'm not sure if I would have picked Hitchcock as the all time greatest, but I will say that I enjoyed his films. One of the things that he was very good at was taking a single murder and turning it into a very intense event. In today's movies, you need a high body count to creator that kind of tension, but Hitchcock could do it with just a single death and no special effects. I'm not sure what his trick was, but even today I still find his movies a bit creepy.http://www.bizofshowbiz .com/2007/09/alfred_hitchcock_ named_greates.html "

The Quintessential Collection
"In the book of man, they suggest using the technique as a way to make sure that you are eating things that your mom would normally buy vs. the crap you digest as a bachelor. I've always wanted to try it, but don't really have the guts. When I was in college, I used to go to garage sales and buy records for $1. It didn't matter if I had even heard of them, I bought them no matter what. I ended up with a lot of good music that summer, but it took me a long time to figure out what I did and didn't like. I could see myself doing a blind movie rental, but a blind buy seems gutsy. Once I see a movie I don't usually want to see it again unless it's amazingly fantastic. "

The Quintessential Collection
"I've never made a blind buy, but the official book of man recommends trying it at least once in your life. They don't narrow it down to DVD per se, but rather recommend that you walk into a grocery store, steal some old lady's filled up cart and just buy whatever is in it. I've never had the guts to do it myself, but one day I'm going to try it and will end up with a bunch of baby forumula I don't need. "

"ID was a controversially film for our group, but at the end, there were enough not guilty votes to make this one an acquital. I'll add it to the list of movies set free and everyone can watch it this fourth and not feel any guilt over supporting a bad movie. There were many different opinons about the film, but overall, I think most of the group agree d that while it had it's bad moments, it also had some good parts too. "

Dude, Where's My Car?
iSpy- Worst Movie Ever Version

Worst Movie Ever
"The difference between a great film and an ok film can sometimes come down to just one or two variables, but when it comes to terrible movies, it's usually only one or two variables that they get right. Since there are so many different ways that films can break down, I thought it would be fun to play a game of iSpy with the worst movies and try to find the repeat offenders. The rules are that you have to pick a movie that you really think is bad and you have to explain the connection between the two films. For example, if I nominated Blankman, you could pick Major Payne for having Damon Wayons in both films or someone could pick, Leonard Part 6 because both leading actors will end up regreting their roles in these particular superhero films. The more creative the connections, the more bonus points you get. If you feel like playing, feel free to jump in with a movie and your answer. For the first nominee, I'm going to pick Dude Where's My Car? "

Worst Movie Ever
"I have avoided the dark Dr., as well as the high school musicals, but sadly was not able to avoid West Side Story or Grease. I've spent many hours watching Wes Craven and David Lynch, in a vain attempt to get the images unseared from my sub-conscious. Do not even get me started on The Cutting Edge, even therapy hasn't been able to erase that and to think, I thought I was going to a slasher movie and instead it turns out to be a chick flick. "

Worst Movie Ever
"I'm not sure how I ended up watching this one, but Evil Eyes was an absolute bomb. Spout doesn't have a lot of info on it, but it has Adam Baldwin and Matt Sheppard in it. The whole movie, I kept hoping it would get better, but the hour and a half ends up pretty flat. The story is about a writer who can will things into happening by writing about them. He is hired by a pretty creepy guy to recreate a slasher event from 35 years prior. I think that the movie could have been good with the right cast and special effects, but the acting was just plain terrible. I normally like to give the Baldwin brother's the benefit of a doubt, but this is one that I think you should skip. I vote guilty of having so much promise only to fall flat. "

"This sounds really neat. It's been great watching the site grow over the last year and a half and I'm sure that it will be another excellent improvement added to the system. Love the idea of a live pulse area to the site, it makes it much easier to chat instead of following up to conversations. "
