"Mark Mothersbough also did the music for "Rugrats." Which I don't like as much, but he makes a lot of music. " [More]

Re: Best use of music in a scene

"1)The scene in "A Very Long Engagement" when Matilde is sending off her lover to war and she sets the test of if she can reach the bend before manech's car reaches it then he will return alive. The music and the fact that she has a permanent limp makes it heart-wrenching. Angelo Badalamenti did the music. 2)In "Breathless," when Michel is shot at the very end after his love, Patricia, has called the authorities on him. He struggles down the street after being shot to the free jazz music of Martial Solail(i think.) 3) In Charlie Chaplin's "The Kid," the tramp is chasing a truck that has the young boy that he has become friends with on it and when he finally catches up and grabs the boy he kisses him on the cheek and the lips. By PeterJbrant in The Wonder of Woody Allen
"Don't forget steve martin for the academy awards, but I do think billy crystal is the best. I saw Matchpoint. I thought it was a really great film that showed Allen could freak people out really well. And that he is good at accessing moral controversy without comedy. I would like to say that Manhattan is one of the best movies of Allen. I didn't like it at first, but I rewatched it think that his final running scene is the best part. He comfronts his friend so intelligently and then when he catches the girl at the hotel...I don't know. It's one the best running sequences in existence. " [More]

By PeterJbrant in Sinking boats!
"It is one of my favorite movies. It has the perfect amount of eighties weirdness too it, as well as, really outrageous characters. I watched it everytime i went to my aunts house growing up becuase my mom thought it was too strange. " [More]
