"Wow - this was a great flick from start to finish. In 99 minutes, Scott Frank manages to set up an elaborate plot, develop 4-5 characters (at least!) and get you involved in and empathizing with the protagonist, Chris Pratt, an ex-high school hockey player who is paying for one arrogant mistake for essentially the rest of his life. repentant as he may be. Jeff Daniel's is superb as his blind mentor, and the "bad guys" are bad and pretty believable. " [More]

"Although I suppose that post-mortem embarrassment is an oxymoron, I must admit that after watching the film, I went home and literally reflected on whether there were any items 'stashed away' someplace that would shock my loved ones in the event of my untimely demise. And that was just one of the many ways the film affected me, including reflecting on my gradual (and perhaps ongoing even now) discovery of who my parents really were. " [More]
