"So I'm currently reading a book (one of a few, actually) about Audrey. It's entitled "How to be Lovely" and you can imagine the main topic of the book. In any case - it's pretty good - filled with fantastic photographs and a million little Audrey quotes and quotes from her peers etc. I just got to one "behind the scenes" page discussing her strong sense of style and the movie Funny Face. I thought I'd share..."Audrey and I agreed she would wear black tight-fitting pants, a black sweater and black shoes. I wanted her to wear white socks with it, and she was stunned. 'Absolutely not!' she said. 'It will spoil the whole black silhouette and cut the line at my feet!' I said, ' If you don't wear the socks you will fade into the background...' She burst into tears and ran into her dressing room. After a little while she regained her composure, put on the white socks, returned to the set and went ahead without a whimper.Later, when she ... "I love it, I love it, I love it! Admittedly, at first I was a bit skeptical about a Daniel Craig as Bond - that blond hair, those blue eyes - however, after seeing Layer Cake, I warmed up to the idea. But for all of you who are still doubting the Blond Bond, just let it go and enjoy the ride. I was absolutely convinced by his performance. He and Eva were great together. She wasn't the typical Bond girl and I loved that. I found myself questioning my previous assumptions about Bond (Is he a little bit evil? Wait, is Bond actually capable of love?). It was thrilling and captivating - I can't say enough. I'm gushing goodness for this film. You should see it. Immediately. Big screen is a must. " [More]

"I originally wrote this little blurb as a discussion within the group "Adoring Audrey." I thought I might as well share it via my film blog as well. For more conversations about fantastic films featuring Miss Hepburn, please do visit our little group. For me, Breakfast at Tiffany's is like the "comfort food of film." (That, and Anne of Green Gables). And some weekends, you just need your couch and that good old film friend. I got to do just that this weekend. I was recently given the anniversary edition of Breakfast at Tiffany's, and while I'm not usually big into all the special features, these are definitely worthwhile! Directors commentary, a letter from Audrey to Tiffany's, original movie trailers, and the BEST part, a section titled "So Audrey" - detailing her effortless beauty and certain fashion sense that impressed the world then and continues today to be a fount of inspiration to designers and consumers alike. It describes how the use of "that's so Audrey" has ... " [More]

"I have not seen the Gap Commercial --- However, I have seen the HUGE posters/banners in the windows of the Gap. And to be honest, I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. I mean, the shots are very playful, very cute but ... "the Audrey pant" by the Gap?? Just haven't made up my mind yet. " [More]

"I agree! The sitelet is brilliant. The podcasts and photos are fantastic for all of us who are unable to experience the festival first hand. I can't believe how great the podcasts sound. I'm impressed and I'm loving my very own "taste of Telluride!" " [More]

And for those who have yet to taste Breakfast at Tiffany's, I'll leave a few enticing morsels. Beginning with Audre ... " [More]

"In an interview with Barbara Walters, when asked how women could attain her chic high fashion style (which I interpret as her natural intoxicating class) she said, "My look is attainable. Women can look like Audrey Hepburn by flipping out their hair, buying the large sunglasses, and the little sleevless dresses." Oh, if only it was so simple. I've bought the large sunglasses, I've got a few sleevless dresses and still...there's something missing. I'm going to keep watching her films. And talking about them. Sooner or later, her secret is bound to come out. What do you think? " [More]
