"Freedom's Fury now available on DVD. Thanks to our friends at Film Baby and Colin and Megan the master minds behind this great Documentary you can now own a copy. Since spout.com is not able to sell you this dvd yet I will tell you where to go to get it. http://www.filmbaby.com/films/ 2438, go there order the dvd if you are as lucky as me you will get the two you ordered (one for you and one to give to a friend) AND a bag of microwavable popcorn. Film Baby, well done, you exceeded my expectations. Go buy it, come back to spout.com and write a review and tell us and the film makers what you thought. "

"Its been a long time since I have seen a blockbuster action flick end with a strong punch. Perfect Stranger is not a punch like The Departed but you are in for a surprise. It was a well done entertaining film in my eyes. Some may say I am bias but who doenst love all three Die Hards and cant wait for Die Hard 4. And what about Swordfish? Put those together and you have a nice murlder love story with Bruce and Halle. "

"Terrence Howard plays Jim Ellis in this based on a true story film about an abandoned recreational pool in Philadelphia's ghetto. Jim was one of I am sure very very few African American swimmers in the 70's who was often times not allowed to swim. Struggling to find a job, the City hires him to clean up an old building before it is going to be tore down. After some hard work he fixes up the swimming pool and invites some of the neighbor boys who had played basketball outside everyday inside to swim and cool off. After a lot of training they form a team and begin to compete with other schools. It is a great feel good movie, if you liked Remember the Titans and Coach Carter you will like this. Another great story, just with a different sport. "

My favorite film at Sundance 2006

"I was only able to see 8-10 films while at sundance '06. Those films I saw did not include Alpha Dog which I am glad I did not stand and wait for in the 10 degree weather. From what I was able to see, Come Early Morning was by far my favorite. I was at the first screening as it was premiered and to hear Joey Lauren Adams introduce it was amazing. I left Sundance wanting to see it again and told so many people about it. When I saw spout.com let me pre order it, I signed up! Two weeks ago it should up in the mail as it was just released. Ashley Judd does a great job I think as Lucy a single hard working female who enjoys drinking and making poor choices who early the next morning regrets them. (thus the name) You can see this as she throws something away every morning. Lucy's relationships are not the best with her father and grandparents and and it seems she holds many of them responsible for things that have happened to her. The film is slow at times, but I think Ada ... "

"The film is slow at times and seems to not give you all the detail you may want. As you watch it and remember that it is based on a true story it makes you think. How easy would it be to do this, and is this still happening in the FBI today? I knew next to nothing on this case and felt I should have heard more. It was interesting for me to go home and find a number of articles written in 2001 on this story of Robert Hanssen and how he was given such power to find the traitor with in the Bureau who was himself. Now sure I will buy this film but I would watch it again. "

"I first saw this great documentary at Waterfront Film Festival in Saugatuck Michigan in 2005. It was, I don't know how else to say it. A Great film. I for an hour and a half was not in an old boat barn but rather in a prison where inmates where being giving a chance to do something they maybe never had before and give them a almost another chance. Rogerson does a great job of introducing the different actors as the film goes. the most interesting thing to me is he allows you to meet them all and see the good things they are doing and not till the end gives you a small glimpse into why they maybe where they are today. That is, in the prison system. A great true story about someone who cares for those who have made some wrong choices in their life. A must see. "

"I think as a kid I used to rent this moive every other weekend. When I finally had two vcr's I dubbed it and watched it untill the tape was worn out. I think by then I was in highschool and didnt want anyone to know I still watched it! Funny thing is I caught the goonies on TV the other day and with out thinking I watched a good 20 minutes of it. I think this is a great film for kids and one that everyone should see at least once. "

"Its one of those films you will watch and walk away wanting to tell others they have to see it. I first saw this film at Water Front Film Festival in Sugatuck Michigan in 2005. I was sitting next to a quadriplegic who was at the same 2004 games competing in some track and field events. Talking to him before and then after the film made it feel so much more real and like a part of my life. The filmmaker Rubin does a great job of making you feel like you know everyone on a personal level. They don't give as many details around the actual game of murderball as you might think. They even don't show a ton of actual game time film which would bore many if they don't understand it. The film is more about the players, the life they now live due to different tragedies and how much this sport has done for them. Over all a really great story about a group of guys who are in chairs yes but don't let that slow them down at all. The Film is rated R because it is a very intense sport an ... "
