"I have a couple 'nuts and bolts' questions for you.-Does the credit card monster still exist? Or are you both seeing the light from under that mountain (particularly in funding from FEM but probably from other sources as well)?Currently the credit card monster does still exist. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. We're still awaiting payment from various distribution outlets that we've sold rights to and as those come through big chunks of debt will be neutralized. We should be entirely out of debt by February 2009 and all the debt will be absolved by revenue streams coming from Four Eyed Monsters. That's really exciting. I know it seems very mechanical but the idea that an act of creativity can have value and can be enough to pay for itself and you while you're working on it makes me want to giggle hysterically. I think one of the problems Arin and I have suffered from and a major problem for a lot of creatives I know is feeling that you shouldn't be compensated for your cr ... "

"
Through it all do you have one favorite moment in time?
Rachellehcar, Good question. I don't know about one. But a I can say a few that were really exhilarating, the time I stalked susan as she left her work and sent her the pictures in her email and our first date which ended my sexual dry spell in a glorious wonderful experience. Also then when we decided that life had brought us an opportunity to tell a crazy story and that this might be the only opportunity that we'd have and we had to take it and jump full force into telling our story. And then again when we got into slamdance and also when we were invited by YouTube to be the first feature length film posted to YouTube and we started seeing we started seeing the view count sky rocket and spout dollars come flying in. Those are just a few of the many highlights for myself. "

"This is my friend Rogers movie that premiered at Sundance. Here is the synopsis I wrote for it: A mysterious vampire presence moves through the small town of Stafford Springs Connecticut seeming to almost be doing miserable people the favor of removing them from this planet. Peter feels just as trapped as everyone else until he starts spending time with Danny, his beautiful new co-worker at the convenient store. She is getting married in a week because in her world thats what people do. The dark force moving through the town collides with these characters conflicts in an instantly classic resolve of pure vampire teeth sinking bliss. "

"This film is more and more relevant every day. And it's a great film. Hillarious and at the same time a really great comment on how TV warps peoples minds. Also deals with peoples need for someone to preach what they believe. But the film works on another level as well. I was telling my friend Roger about the film and I realized that it also works on another level. Warning people not only to beware of the truth spun by TV, but also beware of the truth spun by reality. To not take what our eyes see as complete fact but know that we are more then whats inside our skin and that there is a more birds eye view way to look at life so that we aren't just tuning into the next episode. Howard Beale says, "you people are the real thing, we are the illusion" and that line works on this other level I'm talking about as well. Maybe reality is also an illusion. So it's an illusion creating illusions. Very meta. "

"I know, it's a stupid die Hard Movie. But I liked the first half about the hackers being exploited to design software that could take over all of the nations systems. The film had a lot of problems in the second half but I watched it on a plane and was pretty nervous of how it was going to end, so thats an action movie doing it's job right? "

"Great quotes like that make this movie pretty classic. My favorite seen is when the lead girl is winning everyone at Mortal Combat and then the lead guy she likes starts playing and she just stares at him with adoration. With her eyes off the video game screen he takes her head and rips it out of her body in the game and then is holding a head that has a spine dangling out of it. In one scene you see whats going to happen over the course of the movie. Brilliant. "

"The Darjeeling Limited was an amazing film for it's layers and comments about life. And it makes all the comments without breaking a sweat, it's not like I feel every hit in the pit of my stomach, it's more like as I leave I feel that I know a little more about how life is and how it opperates. And I cracked up of course cause it is a pretty damn funny movie too. Also it related to my life because in 2002 I went on a 1 month trip through europe with my two sisters. And my older sister was totally playing the "mom" roll and telling us what to do and there was all kinds of inside secrets that two of us wouldn't tell the third and we all were reduced to acting like kids for what ever unresolved tension there still was. Also there had been a recent family tragedy that we all hadn't completely dealt with yet. So it rang true and was extra funny for all of those reasons. If you see the film, you'll see the connecitons there. "
