"...so I asked a few folks what their favorite summer popcorn films were growing up. This ten-film list is not exhaustive, of course, but it should serve as a kind of viewing guide for the Summer of 2007. The idea is that we re-watch these films and decide if they remain as great as we remembered them to be.For what it's worth, my contributions were BACK TO THE FUTURE and ROMANCING THE STONE. Both films are connected with very vivid middle/high school memories for me. ANd I saw them both within months of each other. I remember seeing BACK TO THE FUTURE with my family while on vacation in Orlando. ROMANCING THE STONE was a video viewing about a year after it was in theaters. It made me desperate to make a movie. I've since re-watched both and I still really like them. "
