"I haven't listened to this podcast yet, because I don't want you guys to give anything away (you sort of ruined The Namesake for me, due to your subtle yet reveiling message.) But, my 13 year old nephew saw Bug, and was bored within 20 minutes. Now that's something, that will keep me from paying $6.75 to see this movie. I'll most likely see Knocked up tomorrow though, can't wait to see it! " [More]

"The first episode that comes to mind was the Twin Towers episode. Shame it was banned. I still remember when Homer was looking for a bathroom, and screamed "D'OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!!!!! !!!!!" at the top of his lungs when the bathroom was closed. Aaaaahh good times, good times. " [More]

"Boy oh boy, I was watching The Foutain, and wow this was so boring. I mean, I did fall asleep and only saw the first 20 minutes of it. I love Hugh Jackman and everything, but this flick, I don't know it just took too long to get me wheere they wanted me to be. I'll check it out again, and I fall asleep again, I'll just have to send it back. Next movie: The Fountain " [More]

Re: Filmspotting #161: Waitress ...
By mandarkzilla in Filmspotting
"I've had the pleasure of seeing both of these movies (I love the local indie theater) and I had very similar responses. "Waitress" I LOVED LOVED LOVED. It was just as you stated a "sweet" movie, and nothing else can really describe it. You go through every emotion, from happyness to anger. I actually didn't know about Adrienne's death until after the movie, so I wasn't as distracted as you two were, but once I found out, it made me appreciate the film even more. As for "Away From Her", it's sad to say, but I fell asleep during this film. It was interesting at first, because they were setting you up, but the whole movie to me felt like a big set up. It's a beautiful story, don't get me wrong, but the fact that nothing really interesting happened made it a big bore for me. No amnesia, no explosions, no great comedy, no nothing! I'll try to watch this again when it comes out on DVD, so I can actually say i saw the whole thing, but would I want to pay an ... " [More]
