"What happens if you get any stories that venture away from the funny/ironic stories of childhood? "Whoa. Sorry The Accused caused you to relive your rape trauma. Um... here's a T-Shirt. Hope everything's cool now." "

"This film shows Hal Hartley's influence on Adrienne Shelley's writing and directing. It is quirky and fun, but ultimately more interesting as an artifact of someone finding her artistic voice than a piece of compelling entertainment. "

"This is a fun little, off-kilter romantic comedy that features Ally Sheedy with killer bangs and a tuba. The plot is fluffy, but the characterizations and nice little moments make this film totally worthwhile. "

"Homicide was a good little show that had great characterization and good performances and yadda yadda yadda. But THIS episode was really good because Adrienne Shelley was in it as a dominatrix. And, no, it wasn't titilatating or exploitative, it just showed off some really good acting skills and what Ms. Shelley could do with such a small role. "

"I totally understand why no one really likes this movie. The plot is murky, told in flashback from a mentally disabled person. The satirical jabs at the art community and the nature of celebrity seem tacked-on, and the core mystery of the film is pretty easy to figure out.But then you have to consider the dream-like mood of the entire piece, the performances of the actors who go above and beyond, trying to sell the preposterous story (seriously, this is one of Mel Gibson's better performances), and the interesting mish-mash of people who wander in front of the camera (Bud Court, Amanda Plummer, Donal Logue just to name a few). There are fragments of a million good movies in here, mixed up togther into a mosaic that almost, but not quite, achieves greatness. "

"In a series that puts an emphasis on action, this episode is like a splash of cold water in the face. In the middle of battle, a very fragile, very human face is brought to the forefront. This episode is artistic, beautiful, and horrifying all at once. "
