"This is quite simple. The next Batman villain should be Black Mask. A more recent Batman villain and relatively unknown, his storyline fits perfectly with the dark nature of the rebooted Batman series. His family having been long associated with the Wayne family in a negative way, Black Mask dons his "black mask" as an insult to the Wayne family, hating the "masks" they wear in public. He begins by kidnapping executives from Wayne Enterprises and the battles ensue. Batman makes the wrong choice to save him from his attempted suicide, leaving Black Mask permanently scared, as the "black mask" is now permanently burned into his face. In the end, Batman proves to be no match for Black Mask as the super-villain has him trapped and near death. Enter Catwoman, exit Catwoman. Batman 4, here we come! Add in the bonus that Black Mask is a sociopath who carved the original Black Mask from his mother's grave and who talks (a-la-Lars and the Real Girl) to a mannequin modeled after his late g ...
