HORROR MOVIES 101
""I think I caught part of this episode and the one with Robert Englund in it. I don't recall what it was called, but it had to do with this guy that was killing girls and making them dance, basically. All of what I saw was really good, and I'd really like to check out more from the series. "that was "dance of the dead".Just saw that episode last wk. and i like the premise of the story but the show itself was just o.k. for me.The bonus on the dvd gave a more in depth explantion the script which i found interesting. The director of this episode Tobie Hooper actually directed the original Poltergeist which was newsflash to me because i always thought it was steven speilberg that directed poltergeist but instead, spielberg produced and wrote poltergeist.Just wanted to add that poltergeist trivia because i love that movie especially back in the 80s "

"i thought "jenifer" was a pretty interesting story.Jenifer had a lot of cool extras about the making ,interviews with the cast, crew, and the director in the dvd.I like how the extra scene explained how jenifer could be so lustful, hungry and or jealous and at the same time be so naively innocent-childlike to the consequences of her action "

"This is an upscale version of the tv show "shark" with james woods.Especially the episode(shark )Season 1, Episode 12: Wayne's World, where james woods fails on convicting a a a very witty-intelligent serial killer and loses his winning prosecuting streak. This episode also makes him abit paranoid of a serial killer he(he believes ) set loose. But on the season finale of this show ,Season 1, Episode 22: Wayne's World 2: Revenge of the Shark james wood is able to convict the serial killer on his own unique(but a bit deceitfully -illegal) witty ways comparacent to the ryan gosling(witty&legal ways) character in fracture. ""Pelts",the most goriest masters of horror i have seen.Just got "Jenifer" and "Dance of the Dead" in the mail but i have not watched it yet. Will definitely check out "Cigarette Burns "after i watch jenifer and dance of the dead.Have you seen Deer Woman and Sick Girl?I liked Sick Girl better than Deer Woman. Also saw "imprint" just a few days ago.Definitely the most disturbing of all the masters of horror. It was a little to chatty and a the story a bit confusing and the drago character performance was not that cool.I did, however, like the torture scene. And those torturers (older lady )had very ugly teeth. Philosophy of Film
"very interesting and very true in many ways.My solution ,i made different kinds of favorites list.I made a universal favorites for movies that i liked and people that i know that liked it.The universal lists also includes movies that got high critical praise reviews & awards and plus,i have too like the movie too.My other list, personal faves are movies that i liked no matter what anyone else thinks;some othe movies in this lists includes my guilty pleasure movies and movies that touch me or relate to me at some level at some time in my life. This movies doesn't have to be highly rated or praised, mainstream or blockbuster movies,etc...Then theres another category of films i liked in the past but now i no longer regard as highly as i did back then.Either because my feeling about the movie has changed or i just can,t recall the movie as well because it was so long ago i saw the movie last or i am just blurred with all the flicks i have seen throughout my life;Maybe i need to s ... What An Ending
""The Others- Even though I didn't love the movie, that doesn't take away from the fact that I had no clue that that would be the ending" Me too,i had no clue how that movie was going to end the first time i saw it;It gave new meaning to the title of th movie The Others; It was the first movie that i saw that had a ending like that;I would say the ending was quite original.this may contain spoilers for American Psycho;sorry, for those who have not seen it.How about the movie American Psycho(2000)? I love that movie. When this movie first came out, i saw this flick repeatedly, I always concluded that he(patrick) killed all those people. But, during a recent viewing of this flick last wk.,i changed my mind about the conclusion of the film. Now i believe,(through a much closer look of the film)that his killing spree was completely imaginary.I suppose i saw many little hints that made the killings look imaginary.I believe his imagination started right before he killed his first vic ... What An Ending
"from the three extremes short films "box"(2004)by takashi miike had a conclusion that was pretty much left to the viewers own insight. Also, another t.miike short film, from the masters of horror series "imprint'(2006) had a disturbingly confusing ending.I heard from other takashi miike fans that this director actually likes to make films with endings or stories that are not always that easy to grasp Or maybe, it was just coincidental that the couple of films i watched directed by takashi miike has disturbingly unclear endings or conclusions that leaves it up to the viewer to decide "

"saw disturbia a few days ago and i was pleasantly suprised that it turned out to be a pretty good suspense movie. It is not the best suspense movie i have ever seen BUT it is the best (current release) suspense flick i have seen this yr.,so far.True, the movie is like a teen modern version remake of rear window,so i can not say the flick was the most original but still the movie is good enough to be pleasantly suprised(this yr.,so far...) "Worse teen comedy i have ever seen. Most of the jokes are very lame ,be it disturbing or not ;I didn't like the 80s theme of the movie. Looked very low budget and bad acting /performances;Will NOT recommend this to no one.NOT my type of comedy .HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING!! : < : ( :{ : [ "

""You should see "Imprint". It's Miike's Masters of Horror episode that didn't get aired because it was too graphic. It is really good."Yeah , i just saw imprint a couple nights ago.It was recommended to me ,also by another masters of horror /t.miike fan.It was the most disturbing masters of horror i have seen.I gave this flisk 3 1/2 stars out of 5.Liked that disturbingly torture scene with kokuma..The story, for me was ok and the acting esp. by the drago guy was so-so.,the baby fetus looked liked tiny bloody dolls with the umbilical cord hanging on it.Now i am on the lookout for other t.miike films:Bird People in China (1998), Visitor Q(2001) and Great Yokai War (2005);i put it on my queue;Could you recommend another t.miike you have seen and likedSaw memories of a murder too and it was just so-so for me;it was a bit slow but i did like the story "

suspense-thriller-mystery-horror
""My favorite is "Imprint" by Takashi Miike. Truely horrorific and difficult to watch at times. I loved it!!"Just finished watching imprint moments ago and it is definitely the most disturbing story of all the masters of horror i have seen. One such scene is the many steps of komonos torture,it was intrigueingly disturbing; It is the 2nd grossest next to "pelts".The story is o.k.,a little chatty, acting was so-so and the fetuses looked fake, like tiny-bloody naked dolls with umbilical cords:Would give this one 3 1/2 out of 5 starsImprint reminded me of another film takashi directed called "box" mixed with "dumplings" directed by fruit chan ; short stories from the Three... Extremes (2004) series(foreign) "

"just saw pelts just moments ago and it is definitely the most sickest and grossest masters of horror flick i have seen so far;the story is not the most original but good enough; The ending though, kept me hanging ;the ending made me feel like there was going to be a sequel to the show but there isn't; would give this master a 3 1/2 to 4 stars out of 5; I liked the flick pretty much for its disturbing, sick and gross factor "
