"Seven words- Old people singing Forever Young to prisonmates The octogenerians have been left behind in cinema. Cocoon comes to mind, but Young at Heart with it's real life players let's us remember the rich context that life has when it has been lived. As a 94 year old women flirts with her behind the scenes documentarian, we know that these people are not afraid to show us who they really are. As sad, ( old people do die) as it is joyful Young at Heart lets us rethink modern music as a way to rejuvinate our lives whether young or old. megcinema thought- We can't look away, we get old and die, but it's best to go out singing. "

Kisshui is my film, so although I enjoy discussing it, I can't really start the discussion. I will say that it is worthy of a discussion thread.
This looks interesting. I was wondering where your idea for Kisshui came from? I can't help but think it's in some way based on Feng Shui, but I was also thinking about how how many of us find meaning (to various degrees) in relationships.
The idea does poke fun at Feng Shui, but also pokes fun at how we are willing to swallow anything that can lead us closer to love and happiness. I realized there was not a comedy that dealt with this subject matter, but of course The Love Guru is coming in June. " [More]

Re:Is this festival awesome?

"
What do you think about FHTA? How well does it accomplish its goal, making it easier for filmmakers to connect with audiences? How is FHTA ultimately different from other film festivals? I also noticed that at least three of the films have been in major film festivals before. What do you think about that? Would you prefer to help "underdogs"?
I think that all the films whether they have been a festival or not are underdogs in that they have gotten to a point where they have given up the dream of a big distribution deal. In the film world an underdog is always a filmmaker with a limited budget and no stars and you will see that all the FHTA films have that in common. " [More]
