"...a movie so crass and awkwardly cast, even I could be a star."
Personal statement:

Since then it's been a book you read in reverse
So you understand less as the pages turn
Or a movie so crass
And awkardly cast
That even I could be the star.

"
The Game (1997) Night of the Living Dead (1990)
Check these out: Night of the Living Dead The Game Our search has a few kinks to be ironed out still, so I apologize for the difficulty finding these. It seems that with The Game, the terms were just too common, and with Night of the Living Dead, it only worked when we did a partial title search. Again, sorry for the hassle, and thanks for your patience! Jonathan Spout Team " [More]

"As a few of you have noticed, we ran into a few snafu's in the past week or two with regards to search functionality and film content. Several of our most popular films were not accessible, which I know was extremely frustrating for our loyal users! I want to address two things here. First, the site should be 100% functional now, with an updated and more functional search. Also, I've been keeping a list of films that weren't working, and checked out most of them and they seem to be working (huzzah!). As always though, if you find anything we missed, please feel free to email us or post it in Spout Customer Care. We really do read your emails and messages! Second, and most important, to all of our users--you guys are awesome, and we thank you for your patience! We didn't receive any angry emails or nagging letters which proves to us that in fact, we do have the best film community on the internet. Keep it up! :-} -Jonathan Spout Team " [More]

"

Regarding that, have you seen or heard of Crispin Glover's What Is It?
I have not... please go on...
Well the only way that Glover will let it be shown is if he is there for a Q&A to go along with it, and honestly that's the best way to see it. Because once it's over you will be wanting to ask him, what the fuck was that all about? The movie itself doesn't really convey the messages that it turns out Crispin wanted to convey. Although he has some fantastic ideas and is quite articulate, so I dunno what happened. Anyways, most of the characters have some kind of disability. Most of them have down syndrom and there's one guy who has cerebral palsy in real life. That guy actually wrote and starred in the second of Glover's trilogy in this series called It is Fine. Everything is Fine! . I haven't seen that one yet. I guess it's a lot better. It's supposed to be ... " [More]

"Tough question! Its hard for me to pick an overall best, as I tend to have favorites in every genre. Can I cheat and pick a Top 5? :-} 1. Sergio Leone 2. Quentin Tarantino 3. Wes Andersen 4. Darren Aronofsky 5. Tim Burton I guess now that I think about it, if I were to give anyone an "overall" title, it would probably be Burton for the amount and variety of work he's done. I really enjoyed his action/horror/comic adaptations, but also some of his more "heartfelt" work like Big Fish, one of my all-time favorite films. " [More]
Samurai meets Spaghetti Western

Was this review helpful? [Be the first to tell us!]
"The director does a great job of melding two very complimentary genres: the Spaghetti Western and low-budget Asian action cinema. Without a doubt, the two have drawn influences from each other while remaining entirely seperate entities, and SWD does a great job of bringing the two together--seamlessly. The East meets West doesn't seem a formula that would work at first glance, but audiences will no doubt be amazed at how natural it seems to have Asian mysticism and martial arts amidst gun play and horse chases in the wild, wild west. Be forewarned: the film does start out a bit slow and scattered, and requires a good ear to follow. I recommend turning on the English subtitles until your ear adapts to the unusual Western-Engrish accents. Stick with the film and I can almost guarantee the viewer will at least be entertained, if not downright engrossed in this clever mashup. Bonus: Quentin Tarantino makes many appearances through the film. " [More]

"
Good god Dr_Gor! I had no idea this thread was going on. It is wonderful! Thank you for sharing those experiences with us. I don't have much to share, other than a dream where I was murdered with a knife to the chest...must tell the whole story sometime. I am now living in a vacant Nursing Home ( almost 70,000 square feet ) that our company owns and will be redeveloping. Sort of like the Overlook Hotel, but much friendlier. So far, so good! Except for the continuing whispered: 'are you a Doctor?' and 'Help Me! GET ME out of HERE!' no 'Here's JOHNNY!!!' well not really...I guess I am completely accepted....so far...
Thats really creepy... you always here about lingering presences at asylums, nursing homes, etc. At least at a nursing home its probably pretty benign... there is an old poor farm near a house I used to live in that was basically a mental institution from the early part of the past century... there is a ALOT of activity associated with ... "
Holy crap I've wanted an M5 forever. I freakin' love 'em.... Check this video out....... Top Gear - BMW M5 - video powered by Metacafe
Nice! I <3 Top Gear. Just to make you a little jealous, I used to work for a Porsche dealership, and we got a few M5's in. Best day of my life was when a customer came in, bought the 6spd M5 we had on the lot, and then tossed me the keys to his S8L and asked me if I could drive fast, because I needed to keep up with him on the way back to his house. I don't think the needle dropped below triple digits for most of the way back. Oh and then the ride back to the dealership in the M5--wow. Back to the subject at hand, the Bourne Identity has a good car chase in a Mini Cooper, but its a little laughable because its a Mini Cooper. " [More]

"We originally thought it had something to do with films featured in the Oscars, but it has subsequently been affecting films like Bullit--which came out in 1968. We'll have a fix for it soon, thanks again for your patience! "Can I throw in... Ronin for the Audi S8 (and one of the greatest car chases, ever) The Transporter series for Jason Statham's string of BMW 5-series (I think it was even an M5, sweetest car ever). Bullit for the iconic '68 Mustang (which I can't link to at the moment) " [More]
