"My all time favorite female vamp is Monica Bellucci in dracula. She was not in it long but it was very memorable. " [More]

"[quote user="Dr_Gor"] Check it out... Photo Gallery [/quote] I can't endorse a top horror list that dosen't have JAWS in the top 31! in my humble opinion that is the scariest movie of all time followed closely by the Exorsist. Halloween was a great movie but not THE scariest of all time. I really like the concept though. I love every halloween when Bravo does the 100 scariest movie moments. Sparks much debate. " [More]

Re:Movies aching for a prequel
By jdice31 in HORROR MOVIES 101
"In the late 80's (about '88 I believe) there was a very brief lived TV series called "Freddy's Nightmares" . The very first episode of this series was titled "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and it dealt with the origins of Freddy Krueger. Brilliantly directed by the legendary Tobe Hooper (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), this thing was genuinely creepy and scary and had some insane amounts of gore for a TV show! This SHOULD have been a feature length movie... I think it would have been a hit! < GOR > I do remember that, That would have been a great movie. Another one i would like to see would be a prequel to The Hitcher. I would like to know why the hitchhiker became the way he was " [More]

"I'm kind of shocked now that I think about it how many sequels there are to some of these horror franchises, but no prequels. Or am I just missing them? There have been some (texas chainsaw the beginning; the exorsist the beginning). or the "re-imaging" of classics (halloween) which goes in a bit more detail, but not many good prequels. " [More]
Movies aching for a prequel
By jdice31 in HORROR MOVIES 101
"I heard this on the way to work today and thought it might make a good topic: What horror movies are aching for a prequel? my first thought would be A Nightmare on Elm St. I would love to see Freddy before he was caught and burned alive (a child killer without evil powers is scary enough for a great horror movie). You could also get into better reasoning for his "afterlife dream powers". " [More]

"Sigourney Weaver, is a great choice. I also like Kersten from Hellraiser I, II, and VI (I think). AND she is still alive and well in the Hellraiser universe (she hasen't been killed off.......yet) " [More]

"Blair witch project will always have a special place in my heart; I won tickets to the viewing of the film in the woods in Burkettsville MD, and I have not been that scared in a loooong time. For me, another film would be The Last Horror Movie , it came out before Behind the Mask did and his has a more 'real" quality about it that really drew me in. " [More]

"Rape scenes have always left me uncomfortable in any movie, but the one that was most uncomfortable is in a move called Lost Girls, if you haven't seen this film (base on actual events) it may be worth your time. As far as extream films go I really like audition, It seems rather unremarkable until the last 20 to 30 minutes, then its no holds barred and you feel almost sick to your stomach when its over. "I will not even dip a toe in any Ocean thanks to Jaws, and at night all my curtins get closed so I will not see some little kid vampire scratching at my windows a la Salem's Lot (the origional more so then the remake) " [More]

"I will watch any vampire movie and thanks to you this one has got me very interested, and in doing some reasearch it sounds like a great movie. But i can't find it anywhere, my local Best Buy nor Circut City seem to have it. Do I need to order this on-line or is there some store that would have this? " [More]

Re:Horror Movies this summer
By jdice31 in HORROR MOVIES 101
"I viewedHellboy II and thought it was alright, but not really horror. I skipped the Strangers mainly because i watched the movie THEM. which was pretty much the same flick, Them is an international film that was based on true events. I thought it was good but it seems American versions of really good international films only turn out OK. So i was a bit turned off to see the Strangers. " [More]
