"A neat movie for first time director. It's somewhat like phone booth but not really. Here the hero is not held in a phone booth by an unknown sniper but by an unknown terrorist asking him to do errands on his behalf. After the first half, the movie gets a little repetitive and gathers itself only towards the end. Very rarely you get to see the seedy underbelly of mumbai in any indian movie as you see here. "

"This is an amazing work of work. Shot in the docu-drama format the movie shockingly re-enacts the 1993 investigation of the bombay blast. The write/director tries to give a complete 360 degree view of the investigation, including the events which led to the eventual blast. The movie was banned for 2 yrs citing sympathetic view of the under trails. In reality it shows the "terrorist" as any other human beings rather than demonising them. Hats off to Anurag Kashyap who has directed this. His decision to shoot it in docu-drama format gives it a look of reality. Most of the re-enacted scenes including the 12 min chase sequence is gritty and in-front-of-you kind. Initially the movie moves ahead in the "Munich" style where each of the perpetuators are being tracked and apprehended. However the movie rightly moves out of that mold and tries to raise the larger issue of the cause and effect cycle of such incidents. One of the best movie to come out of bollywood. "

"A wonderful movie made by Aamir Khan. He will go on to become one of the greatest director in Bollywood if he continues(to improve) on the work done in this movie. A good director makes decision on the script, has a vision on how to transalate the script to movie, takes casting decisions, is disciplined enough to see his vision translate into screen, extracts the best out of cast members. With this movie you see Aamir doing all the above, of special mention is the performance he extracts out of the kid(Darsheel Safary). Aamir is bold enough to take script about a kid suffering from dyslexia, the non-understanding parents, the unsympathitic society, the understanding art teacher and the eventual triumph. What's not going in favour of the movie is it's length(at close to 170 mins) the movie could have been edited by atleast 20 mins. Also the direction does not seem uniform across the movie, there are places where the movie digresses eager to make a social statement bu ... "

"watched the movie yesterday but was disappointed. The movie tries to be cute and at that it is succesfull. Though the first half of movie keeps you engaged, the second half falls flat starting from the scence involving Aditya giving a inspiring speech to his staff. It's the script which fails because of incompletely conceived characters. The sober and beaten by life Aditya turns into inspirational figure and the bubly chatter box Geet becomes sober. It's this shift in character development arch which is unconvincing. The less said the better about the support characters "
