Worst Movie Ever
"I am intrigued by this group as providing some of the best information on this site. But I am confused about some of the discussions/nominations. I mean some people just seem to be putting the title of "Worst Movie Ever" on films that just aren't up their alley. For example, I hated the lord of the rings movies, but I didn't like the story line and movies about elves, and rings, and dwarves that are confused about who they are don't sail my ship. SO I wouldn't nominate it for the worst movie ever. I haven't noticed any Keanu Reeves, Stephen Segal, Barney, or Jean Claude Van Damme movies. Nor are there many sequels or remakes listed. I guess what I'm getting at is who's really looking for the worst movie ever made? "

"I used to think I was the only person in the world that didn't like the LOFTR trilogy. Then I was watching Kevin Smith talking about the movie. He described at 9 hours of people walking, and with the last movie not ending as early as it should have. That pretty much summed it up for me. I'm not trying to cause controversy, just wanted to tell anyone that didn't like the first film, don't expect it to get better. "

"There's a good guy and an anti hero, an amazing iterrogation method, cool detective work, dry humor....... If you loiked Hackman in the first, you'll love him here. It's not the same movie as the first, but a lot of fun anyways. "

"Here's the most basic way to put it: It's a classic western. If you truly liked the spaghetti Westerns or more classic testosterone laden flicks like the Dirty Dozen, or Death Hunt---- you will enjoy this film. If you don't like the old school manly tales were a cursing, drinking, fighting, every-man wins the day rather than some roid laden pretty boy---- you won't like this movie. That was the litmus test amongst everyone that saw this film. I know a lot of people that hated it, but they never liked the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly or Lonesome Dove. However, my friends and I saw this film in the theatre two days in a row (something we never did before or since). "

"I believe the "neutral" reviews are from reviewers not knowing how to feel about the movie. Strong feelings of pain from recollecting the day doesn't make anyone want to say they "loved it", in spite of how well it was made. At least that's the way it was for me This film was really difficult to rate in that it was a horrible experience, but that was what it was supposed to be. This was an amazingly crafted film. The use of no name actors, not making extreme characters (keeping them real), and personal camera work make the film feel very real. So real in fact that I experienced most of the same feelings that came over me on 9/11 and those feelings stuck with me for several days afterward. If anything see the film so as to Never Forget. "
