Sci-Fi Weekly Theme
I like the Weekly Theme's gimmick, and thought the Sci-Fi group could think up lots of different movie themes (or I can just plagiarize Mercurial), and then we can try to think of Sci-Fi films that fit into that theme. :)
So I really enjoyed the Deus Ex Machina theme. In this case DEM refers to "A staging or literary device referring to salvation from a tricky situation by a god or goddess." (or some other unexplainable thing)
Anyway, what are some themes you would like to talk about concerning Sci-Fi?

Wow, great question Ryan... I'd like to talk about Spaceships! :)
I'd also like to discuss futuristic weaponry.
We could have an alien species week too!

Haha, I think everyone is completely devoted to Weekly Theme. And I'm sure that little threat I sent out about sending computer viruses to anyone that posts to this discussion didn't have any impact whatsoever. :)

I ain't afraid of no virus...
I think we should talk about hot sci-fi chicks! From Fay Wray to Caroline Munroe to "Weena" from The Time Machine and "Altera" from Forbidden Planet to "Sarah Conner" and "Ripley" and Denise Richards in Starship Troopers ...

I love how predictable you are < GOR >
Hot sci-fi chicks it is! Perhaps we should start a new thread for this though...

Did I forget to mention Barbarella ?!?!? And Vampirella ?!?!?!? Shame on me! Yes, perhaps a new thread for this subject would be a good idea...

2nd interesting note from that film's synopsis. Duran Duran got their name from the scientist the film, Durand Durand... Holy Crap. We should use that as sci-fi trivia... shh don't let anyone look here.

I will have to agree with Weena from The Time Machine. She was pretty titilating
