I've been seeing Steampunk art creeping up more and more across the internetz, and came across this incredible ring today that I had to share with you all:

I'm all for steampunk in literature (novels, graphic, comic) and in film, but the idea of people going crazy out there making these faux-steampunk inventions is a little too out there even for me.

The worst things I've seen have been the steampunk motorcycle and computer. I forget the website, but some guys spends thousands doing these little steampunk inspired reconstructions and posts the development/construction process. To each their own.

I'm going to assume the cynicism is a by-product of the virus you're dealing with. :-}  Where's your imagination?!  Your sense of whimsy!!?
