The first knit and meet!
We had a great time today at the bookstore. We had our first meet up! Personally I learned more today about knitting than in the fours years that I've been teaching myself.

Re: The first knit and meet!
Paul, I will remember the "woman with the necklace" trick forever. And ingrid, you're, well, amazing.

Thats why they are our knitting flicks leaders. I can only hope that someday I will have intriguing knitting tips and amazing finished products.

Re: The first knit and meet!
Ingrid, I have to thank you. Our first meeting was great. You steered me toward knitty.com where I found a great pattern that I'm enjoying a lot (rustic urban gloves).
This pattern is pushing me and I enjoy the challenge. Last night, while the new King Kong played on my TV, I learned and executed with perfection THE KITCHENER STITCH. It was so much more exciting than the perils happening on Skull Island.
I can graft with the best now. And for those of you who don't Kitchener, be careful. It may just break you.

Re: The first knit and meet!
GET OUT!!!
See, Paul, if you can kitchener while watching movies, then you are some kind of knitting monster.
Most merely human knitters need to lock themselves away from kids, lovers, cats, and dogs in a room with no wind or sound, and instructions in front of them, to kitchener. Even if they've been doing it for years.
I am awestruck.
Can't wait to see those gloves. Can't wait.

Meet AGAIN!!
Knitters:
Let's meet again this Wednesday; same time, same place. Sound good? I'm about to finish my scarf. I'll start a Knitted Babe once the scarf is complete.

Re: Meet AGAIN!!
I'll be a mentor. And I'll start our first session by telling you that "Sweet Mother of Pearling," should be spelled "Sweet Mother of Purling."
Let's get it right people.
