I loved it. His not-greatness as Harold Hill fed the tension and humor of the thing. It was really very funny. A great send up of musical/local theatre, you must be warned. Some of my friends who do that sort of thing were not amused, but having hung around with them for a long time, I was completely taken. The guy who plays the director (I hope to god he was an actor in the film), was the funniest thing. I need to know more about the making of that film.
I need to know more, because apparently Goldblum really did do Music Man in Pittsburgh while they made the film, so...
Anyway I haven't had such a good squirmy laugh in a long time.
And, well, it was Goldblum, and that's always good enough for me.
