Unprecedented and absurd? We'll see if you still say that as no one hears your screams over the chant of the undead for "more brains!" ;-)
Yeah you are right. So now that I've thought about it I have two differnet possible plans.
1. Kidnap and extraterrestrial and hold him for ransom in exchange for a spaceship which I will use to leave the planet Earth.
2. Step into a time warp portal and go back in time to a time before the zombie invasion
Well that is just ridiculous, Rizzo! Everyone knows that the ET's won't come within a milion light years of Earth when there is a Zombie infestation going on! Try to be serious about this, will you?

Augh! Sorry, you are right. I'll either have to secure a spaceship ahead of time, or I'll have to capture a wizard who can sprinkle me with magic interplanetary travel dust instead.

Actually, I was wrong! I can think of at least 2 movies in which the ET's actually CAUSED a zombie problem! They are Plan 9 from Outer Space and Invisible Invaders ! For zombie fans who haven't seen it, the latter movie is a MUST SEE! Not only because John Carradine and John Agar are both priceless in everything they did but also because I firmly believe that this movie was one of the inspirations for Romero's NOTLD (along with The Last Man on Earth !)

Hey Gor, speaking of the subject matter, have you seen the movie the Undead yet? I think you would really like it.

I actually have a DVD copy of that one but I haven't seen it yet! I have yet to replace my broken DVD player! I am waiting for the "after-Christmas" sales... Luckilly I still have my trusty VHS player and a fairly huge library of VHS tapes. Tonight, on Christmas eve, I watched Tales from the Crypt (1972) and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I think I will make this a regular Christmas tradition!

Re:what is your plan for when the zombies attack?
Oh Gor, I was just thinking about that movie today. I love the Joan Collins/Santa story, it is one of my favorites. Well, I had to watch both versions of the old and new Black Christmas. I also saw a movie called Christmas Evil...the reason why this guy went crazy was really stupid, but it actually had some cute scenes that I liked. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but it was fun.
So, I also had to watch the 1951 version of Scrooge - I LOVE this movie with Alastair Sim, it is so eerie - Jacob Marley in this version is very scary. I loved watching this when I was about 5 or 6 years old. So I have got to buy the old Tales from the Crypt movie too, just so I have a well rounded assortment of Christmas axe murders, etc...

Did you vote in the Scrooge poll June?

I'm a little surprise repopulation didn't creep up in your plan somewhere :-) I'm thinking rounding up all the survivors possible, and setting up camp on an island somewhere, ala Giligan's Island while focusing on repopulation as the zombies eventually wipe themselves out could be a good way to go... they have to run out of brrrrraaains at some point.
Dr_Gor:
Actually, I DO have an "escape" plan, or more of a "survival" plan, for this one! And it is entirely the opposite of yours, Seely! If you are healthy and not badly injured you should keep moving as quickly and quietly as you can... try to find other people... this is only common sense. IF you are seriously injured and/or seriously outnumbered AND there is absolutely no hope of escape at all THEN it is time to start thinking about "bunkering" ... Remember The Alamo....
< GOR >
Everyone knows that zombies are UNDEAD which means they don't NEED brains, but they sure like the taste! So the zombies will never wipe themselves out. It's up to us to take care of the mess when the time comes, obviously. =p

If there is one thing that the zombie movies have taught us it is that zombies never die! They just get uglier and nastier ... Your only hope is to try to escape...
