Worst Movie Ever Court In Session Charge of Being Most UnExcellent
Just as a quick reminder to the group, the Worst Movie Ever Jail is a list where we put films after they've received 6 guilty votes in the Worst Movie Court. I've gone ahead and moved a few films I found in there to the do not rent list instead. One of the films on this list was Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and I'd like to open up the Worst Movie Court with a Non-Guilty vote on this one.
Bill & Ted's excellent adventure was one of my favorite films growing up. Maybe it was that I had friends in San Dimas or it could have been that this represented a coming of age film for me, but it had a lasting impact and it's humor was not lost on me. While at times it could be a bit childish, I still think that it's very representational of the culture at the time and has it's place in history, even if it's a part of history some of us would like to forget. Whether it was watching Bill and Ted try and hook up with Medieval Babes or seeing them have to put up with Napoleon's snotty attitude, the entire film was very quotable and a classic for me.
Remember it takes 6 guilty or Non-Guilty votes to get a verdict, so if you've seen the film and have an opinion sound off on whether this should be in the Worst Movie jail or whether this is one we should set free.

Set them free! Non-Guilty
I agree with davisfreeberg, I did enjoy this film growing up.
Time travel has always been a pet peeve with me but the
trick with the car keys in jail was a riot! This film also started me to think how influential people from our past
would really feel about the state of the world today.
Truly there are MUCH worse films to pick to
send to jail.

Not guilty!
I loved this movie when it came out, maybe not so much anymore but I don't think it should be on this list.
There are also a ton of quotes that I used to use from this (hmm I should add this to "Best Movie Quotes")

This is one of those guilty pleasure movies. Even though you might
remember it as a funny classic, the fact is no one today would know who
Bill or Ted were if Keanu Reeves didn't go on to have a successful
movie career. Guilty.

Keano Reeves was one of those guys?? Hmmm. I remember this movie faintly as being silly and not horrible. It's likely we all wouldn't choose to watch it today, but it was much talked about when it released. I vote not-guilty. I agree with other comments, that there are worse movies out there.

Re: Worst Movie Ever Court In Session Charge of Being Most UnExcellent
Obviously,
there are worse films out there. I mean there are plenty of indie and B films
featuring some of the worst acting on earth (even worse than Keanu’s)--but
judging by the rest of the flicks added to this Worst Movie Ever list, isn’t
its purpose to include mainstream films that received a lot of attention, had a
lot of hype, but were just plain dumb?
When
the movie was released it was panned--it was seen as a rip-off of Back to the
Future. But Keanu’s looks made him a teen heart throb pretty quickly. Sure, the
movie had a good moral, but really it’s an embarrassment to 1989/90s teens that
have been identified as airhead since the movie’s release.

Not guilty.
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure is the only historical representation of a lost culture, hard-rock stoners of SoCal.

Don't lock this one away!!
I love this film! How could anyone consider this one of the worst
movies??? This movie used to be on a loop when I worked at a video
store in college. Classic!

Not Guilty of Being Most Un-Excellent
Ka-Blammo may not have realized it, but his call to free Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure was the final vote necessary to set Bill S. Preston, Esquire and Ted "Theodore" Logan free. the Wlyd Stallions can once again roam free of the disgrace that comes from being a worst movie ever. This marks the second film that our group has set free. Thanks to everyone's vote, we can now close the case on Ted T. I'll go back in time and leave keys to the jail with Bill & Ted, so that they don't find themselves trapped in our own Worst Movie Jail. Be excellent to each other. Party on Dudes!!!!!
