Worst Comic Book Adaptation Ever?
Lets face it, about 0.002% of the comic-book adaptations have been good, and thats only after calculating the two most-recent Batman films. Since no-one liked my Worst Dance Movie Ever thread, I figure its time to move on. Whats the worst comic book adaptation out there?
I'll start it off with two nominations:
Garfield: The Movie (anytime "The Movie" follows a title, it is absolutely certain--without exception--to suck)
The Punisher I remember my college room mates going to see this one, coming back and silently shaking their heads as they wordlessly turned in for the night. It was never spoken of in our apartment. Suggested alternate title: The Punishment
What are your picks?

Re:Worst Comic Book Adaptation Ever?
I am going to nominate The Fantastic Four flick made in 1994. Unfortunately, I haven't seen it and I hate to bash something without giving it a viewing. But the only way to find it is through bootlegs. So the main reason to nominate it is because of the fact it never got released in theaters or any other medium despite being based on such a popular comic book series. I remember an article about it back then in like Cinescape or something and couldn't help but laugh at just the description of it. For one, the film was made only because I believe Roger Corman had to get it made or in production before a certain date or he lost the rights. So they made this film on the cheap in like a few days. The actor Jay Underwood supposed got his scalp badly burnt from the bleach they poured direcctly on his head so he could be the blonde Human Torch. Anyhow, I am sure it might be the film to make Ed Wood and Uwe Boll proud.

Re:Worst Comic Book Adaptation Ever?
Fantastic Four was actually a decent film considering the obviously lower budget. I actually have watched this one, and I wasn't rolling my eyes every two seconds, more like every 10.
The WORST comic book adaptation to film EVER has to be:
Elektra
Starring Jennifer Garner, and featuring the word CRAP as one of its' most prominent tags.
I actually was never able to watch this entire film because I couldn't stand it.

I have to say that I actually really loved Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie although after what you mentioned and since the premise is about mocking bad movies, I'm almost wondering if the title is somehow a joke in itself.
And also, I really find Jackass amusing, and I think if you are like me then Jackass: The Movie was not a disappointment either!

I was convinced that I could stand to watch 2hrs of Jennifer Garner doing just about anything, including blinking, reading a book or possibly knitting, but you're right. Elektra proved that not everything can be made tolerable with a gorgeous brunette and pouty lips.
