The Worst of 2008
Its awards season again so we are rapidly finding out which movies everyone loved, but that begs the questions, which ones sucked the most? Lets face it, 2008 left us with a bumper crop of craptacular films. For every Dark Knight there were a dozen Disaster Movies. What are your nominations?
*Bonus: it would be fun to divide this into categories, like a real awards show such as...
- worst cinematography
- worst picture
- worst screenplay
- worst actor/actress
- worst soundtrack
- worst foreign film
- etc...
Feel free to categorize your nominations, but don't feel obligated. Can't wait to hear everyone's picks!

worst picture - Funny Games, because it was useless! Haneke should have known better than ruin his own best film!
worst screenplay - Dark Knight. Yeps, everyone hates me for this one, but it was a complete muddle. I would've not paid the screenwriters. Along with Sex and Ther City.
worst actor/actress - Keira Knightley, simply because she's always ghastly! Edward Norton as Hulk!!! Hulk!!!!
worst soundtrack - High School Musical 3. No. 1 When is it ever going to end? and second, we certainly don't need any more pop dribble!

I think Disaster Movie is a good choice since it was a spoof that forgets to actually spoof and just recreate stuff from other movies. Also doesn't make fun of disaster movies but just recent movies we have seen. I think they were more concerned about the poster than the film they made.

Well I wouldn't say Bangkok Dangerous was a bad movie... but you could certainly nominate Nicholas Cage for worst actor in a fairly decent movie. Disaster Movie is too easy to pick for worst movie of the year. Its almost as easy as calling Bush the worst president ever... I will have to think longer, but I'm sure I have an opinion on this... last year I Know Who Killed Me made it Soooooooooo Easy....

My first nomination:
- worst picture: Jumper
- worst screenplay: Jumper
- worst actor/actress: Hayden Christensen
The plot was the only thing worse than Hayden Christensen's acting (or lack thereof). It wasn't even bizarre in an intellectually challenging Pi or Donnie Darko sort-of-way. It was just ridiculous, and somewhat pretentious when it had absolutely no right to be. This is one of the very, very few films that I could not stand to watch to the end.

Ah, I tried to forget about that one. I didn't see it, but I don't think I really need to. Audiences across the US sent a pretty clear message on this one... I think it may actually replace Jumper for my nomination.
