1.) The Graduate-"Are trying to seduce me, Mrs. Robinson?"

2.) Garden State-"I can't believe the retarded quarterback is a pill-popper."

3.) Fight Club-"I am Jill's nipples."

4.) The Science of Sleep-"I like your boobs. I like your boobs because they are friendly and unpretentious."

5.) Four-Eyed Monsters-"I'm smart. I have a nice, tight pussy. I can make lasagne."

    What do you guys think?

Re: Top Five "What do we do now?" Movie Endings

I like this topic.  Ambiguous endings are not only "true to life", but doesn't have to spoon feed the audience good feelings and "closure" that people find so important.  This will contain the dreaded "SPOILERs"

1.  The Bicycle Thief - In the end, he still needs to find a way to get to work, and make it up to his son.  How will he ever do this??
2.  Do The Right Thing - Will Sal ever rebuild?  Will the community ever rest?  Find forgiveness and seek forgiveness?
3.  Wild Strawberries (?) - I am trying to recall exactly what happens in the end, but as I recall and someone correct me if I'm wrong, he gets tucked into bed by his children, and it is the start to a repairing relationship.
4.  The Celebration - The film ends with the father having his "last meal" with his children, but I had the feeling it wasn't over and there was possibility for restoration.  After all it had only been the previous night all hell broke loose.
5.  Once - The ending is very much so "what do we do now?"  Their journies have ended/begun, and who knows what the future will hold?

I am watching Before Sunrise tonight, and I am very excited, and I know the ending already so it may top the list if it lives up to the hype.

I also liked Garden State's ending very much.

I will name the WORST what do we do ending.  Cast Away.  The ending couldn't have forced that ambiguous feeling down the audience's throat any harder.

Heh yeah you are right I remember that.  Sometimes you feel like stuff is left to an "ambiguous" ending because there's some truth there.  Cast Away, although I did like it pretty much, did feel like they were making a movie with the intention of coming to an "ambiguous" ending.  HA!  That seems so backwards and ignoble.

Oh, I love what you guys got going so far.

1.  Saw III - At the end everyone who knew anything was dead, so what happens to that little girl and her stupid father?  Better question... how on earth are they gonna pull off making a fourth "Saw" that will corrispond or even compare to that last one?  So confused...

2.  I Robot - Did the robots actually get to live in peace or was it just an illusion?  I couldn't tell if they were being sent off the be willingly distroyed or if they were going to successfully develope a community of their own.

3.  The Rundown - Who did get the girl, and what were those two fruits gonna do now that thier boss/dad would be after the both of them?  Yeah, I wanted to see more of those tree humping monkeys, too.

4. National Lampoon's:  TV The Movie - This stared "Jack-ass"s Steve-O.  It didn't really get anywhere in anything even remotely related to a plot, but that doesn't mean that I wasn't scratching my head in utter confusion right there at the end.  Even "Jackass the Movie 2"  had a better final cut.  I guess National Lampoon movies have really started to hit bottom in recent years.  :(

5.  The ending to every single Marvel or other comic book movies always leave me feeling really ripped off.  Kinda makes me want to be like... "Yeah, your copy of the movie cut out right at the climax.  Could I at least have a $2 discount to better my disappointments?"  I know it's because they always have to leave room for a sequel, but still; and when they never release that conclusion that I was waiting for...  sadness.
