New to the group

Just joined the group and wanted to introduce myself. 

I'm Ligia from New York City and I love both stage and screen musicals.  I run a musical theatre website (www.broadwaycafesociety.com) and can't wait to chat with all of you.

Some of my all-time favorite movie musicals are WHITE CHRISTMAS, LOVE ME OR LEAVE ME, ALEXANDER'S RAGTIME BAND, GYPSY, STRICTLY BALLROOM, TOPSY TURVY, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW and SINGIN' IN THE RAIN.

I've seen most of the current crop of musicals running on Broadway and would be happy to offer suggestions if you plan to visit New York.

Very cool.  I may actually be making my first trip to NYC in the coming few months, so this may be a very good place and opportunity to talk suggestions.  Welcome to the group and thanks in advance for your help.

Speaking of musicals in local areas, I haven't been keeping up with posting about Grand Rapids, but if you have musicals playing in your area at a community theater or professional house, feel free to post about them! 

Also, cinematically, Hairspray is coming out this summer.  If you've seen it and want to discuss it (is it great, is it better on stage, was the prior movie version better), start a conversation...
