LIVE September Musicals

Here are the musicals that will be performed in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in the month of September.  For those of you Spouters who don't know, Spout is based in Grand Rapids, which is why this post begins there (and myself and the other group leader, Ms_Maxwell, are here).  However, if there are musicals going on around you locally, please feel to post them in the appropriate month.  After all, we're musical lovers and want to hear about all musicals regardless of where they're being performed.

THE FULL MONTY

September 14-16, 20-24, 27-30

By Terrence McNally and David Yazbek

Tickets on sale to the general public September 5.

Based on the Academy Award-winning movie, The Full Monty is the endearing tale of a group of unemployed men down on their luck, lacking self-confidence, and frustrated with life, women, and work who decide that regardless of looks or talent, they’re going to make money by becoming strippers. With nothing to lose, they decide to up the stakes by going for “the full monty”—total nudity.

The Full Monty is bittersweet, hilarious, outrageous, and kind-hearted. The toe-tapping Broadway musical was nominated for 10 Tony Awards.
