LIVE November/December Musicals

Hi all!

Someday this concept will catch on.  Here are live musicals going on in the next two months, at least in the Grand Rapids, Michigan, area.  As always, musical lovers and critics, feel free to advertise any live musicals going on in your respective areas.  And remember, watching live musicals often makes us want to watch film versions.  I'm currently involved in Peter Pan and want to get my hands on every film incarnation out there.  Seriously.

Grand Rapids Civic Theater

Peter Pan
November 16 - December 17, 2006
Wed-Fri: 7:30pm, Sat: 2:00pm & 7:30pm, Sun: 3:00pm

This perennial favorite for the young and old flies back onto Civic Theatre's stage just in time for the holidays! A musical based on the play by James M. Barrie, Peter Pan features characters "flying" around the stage as well as show-stopping numbers such as I'm Flying; I Won't Grow Up; and NeverLand.

Actors' Theater

November 30 - December 9

tick...tick...BOOM! by Jonathan Larson

By the creator of RENT, this musical focuses on the days leading up to Jonathan’s birthday and was posthumously presented after his untimely death just before RENT made its New York debut. . Winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway musical in 2001, it reminds us of the courage it takes to follow your dreams, especially if that dream is to create the great American musical.
