Stardust: Thoughts on Viewing
As far as I could tell, this topic hadn't been added yet, so I thought I'd take the opportunity!
I just got back from watching "Stardust" at the cinema, and I thought it was great. I am a big fan of the book, and of Neil Gaiman in general, so I had my doubts, seeing that certain characters were added, and other roles were extended beyond those in the book. In fact, some of these additions were pretty small and altogether unnecessary. Ricky Gervais' character, Ferdy the Fence, for example, could have been eliminated altogether and nobody would have missed him. However, overall I thought it was a good movie and as much fun for people who had read the book as for people who hadn't.
Thoughts?
