New Home Page, Navigation, and Spoutblog design
What do you think? Let us know how you like the new home page, navigation, and spoutblog.

Sleek. Handles well. Now I just have to check how it looks in IE before I render my final judgment.

I'll have to use it a lot more to see how it goes. But my initial reaction is disappointment that there are no longer pop up menus for all of the different categories. I have to load each different category screen to see the sub categories.
For instance I used to be able to click on the pop up menu for "groups" to click on "discussions". Now I have to load the "groups" screen to click on the "discussions" link. Just an extra hassle that will make navigation more time consuming it seems.

Re:New Home Page, Navigation, and Spoutblog design
While I do miss the pop-up menus, I never really used them much, and I think it flows a lot nicer without them -- it's more intuitive to click than to hover.
There are some issues with overlapping images (the rss icon above the "widgetbox" icon) on lists such as here (http://www.spout.com/films/Default/Film_Coming_Soon/ScopeFocusViewAll.aspx).
and I'm very much a fan of the uniformity between blog.spout.com and spout.com, because it let's me jump back to my movies from a news item.

Yeah, we had to make a decision between click and hover. I believe we what seemed most intuitive at the time, but it's all open for opinion.
Thanks, Lopezdash for reporting the error, btw. I have sent it over to the dev team.

I miss the submenus now too, but other than that it all looks great.

I did just notice now that all of the sub links in each category are also all listed out at the bottom of every page. Going down to the bottom of the page takes some extra scrolling, but it does save the step of having to load each category page to find the sub links.

I'd only been using the site for a few days when the home page changed. I already miss the pop-up navigation! But I'm adapting and everything seems to be here. :) Looks sharp anyway!

Thanks! I am noticing a trend in missing the pop-up navigation. Certainly something I will bring up with the team.
Thanks for the feedback.

Ok, Uncle. The new redesign has got me flumoxed. I cannot find "My Blog" anywhere. Hints?
Thanks for steering an old-fashion, low-tech guy in the enlightened direction.
