Re:Bugs and Errors

We've all been having problems with that (myself included, unfortunately!).  I spoke with those who handle the wizardry that makes the site work, and they said they hope to have a fix for the search function and the drop-down box shortly.  Fingers crossed!!! :-)

Risselada:

Yeah I have been having strange problems with the search system not working correctly when it always has before.  Specifically I'm talking about when you start to type a title into the search bar.  It brings a drop down box of titles that begin with the series of letters you have typed.  Sometimes it gives me some strange lists of titles that don't start with the words I typed.  Sometimes it doesn't give me any results, even though I know such a title exists.  And then when I actually click on the search button and go to a new page it is fine.  It's the drop down list that is behaving strangely.  Maybe this has carried over to the link a movie section as well.

Thanks a lot Seely, I appreciate it.  Between the difficulty using the search engine and the fact that these new "rollover" ads at the top of the screen cause my computer to freeze for an extended period of time whenever I accidentally roll over one, it has been a bit frustrating to use Spout today.

No problem.  I forwarded the concern about the rollover ad freezing up your comp to our technical wizards too.  I have had a similar problem and thought it was just my overworked MacBook, but if others are having the same problem too its definately worth looking into.  Cheers, and thanks for the suggestions as always!

Thanks, I appreciate it a lot!  I don't mind ads appearing, but when it freezes things that's no good.

Re:Bugs and Errors

I am experiencing two different bugs or errors on Spout currently

1.  Whenever I visit a movie page, I get this error message in a window that pops up.

"div with id:modalTypeAheadContainer already exists"

After I close the window everything seems to work fine, but it's annoying obviously.  I am using Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP if that helps.

2.  When you are viewing a discussion in a group, if there are multiple pages for the discussion there are links at the bottom of the screen to go to the different pages.  These links are not working.

I'm getting that too. I had to change the oldest to newest dropdown box to view your post.

Hey Riss,

Thanks for reporting those, I told the dev team about them, so hopefully they will be on that soon. Let us know if you see anything else. We are in the middle of pushing out a bunch of new development and so the site is kind of buggy. Every bug you report is helpful!

Thanks,

Christi

Hey Riss,

The dev team says to refresh your cache and the first issue will go away. They are looking into the second issue.

Cheers,

Christi

Thanks a lot, that worked.

Any idea why I can't open the page for the movie 300 though?
