Movie Search - is it working?

Besides the fact that the site is slower than a dead snail tonight, I'm somewhat surprised that the search function can't find "I've Loved You So Long" - I mean, there was an Oscar-nominated performance!?  What's happening here?

P.S. How do I search for a Director?

From what I've observed, with the current search system, if you type in too many characters the search just craps out.  For instance, if you just type in "i've loved you so" then the search should work.  If you add the "long" to the end it's too many characters and the search has crapped out.

Also, there is no way to do a straight up search for a director.  The only way  that I have been able to look at a list of movies by one director is to search for one movie that person has done, then open the movie page and click on the director's name on that page.

I'm not sure what's going on at Spout right now.  I haven't heard from any of the admins as recently or regularly as I usually have about updates, and nothing has really changed or been fixed in a while....

Hey Tom,

Sorry for the slowness and the buggy search function. The search issue is on our radar. Also, I think Rizzo's work-around for finding a director and their movies is accurate.
