Slow downs...sometimes the site is so slow it is unusable.

The site is in the process of migrating to new servers with architecture that is better able to support the size and kind of community that we have. We expect the process to be complete after labor day weekend, so hopefully you will notice a change right around then.  I hope you can hang in there until we get through this phase.

Good jorb Christi! You're supposed to blow more smoke up people's arses when ya do customer service though. Say things like "The computer gnomes have been banging about in our servers out back with hammers or something, but we've taken their hammers away so things should settle down some." Or make vague comments about how using a high level language for a website isn't as efficient as combining low level code for the tasks that are repeated many times, and high level code for the visual formatting etc etc. ad naus. (Dances behind smoke and mirrors chanting da bears da bears da bears)

My sister is great. :) You all best respect her authority!

Hey Risselada,

Thanks for letting us know about those errors. We are still doing a lot of bug work on our player pages so you might find broken links and stuff from time to time. If you can continue to let us know, that would be great. I reported the errors you already told me about to our team so someone will be working on it shortly.

I may not have all the occurences correct, but I enabled email subscription to multiple discussions in some of the groups I am a member in. I noticed that over the past couple of months, I receive a notification of a new posting to the thread and I will receive multiple copies of that same new posting; I would prefer just getting one. Is the multiple response due to enabling the multiple discussions?

Thanks for the heads up! We are really sorry about all the notification copies, it is an issue we are aware of and we are working to correct it. Hopefully it should not take too much longer to straighten out.

Hello Spout people.  I have noticed that some film pages are not loading properly while others are just fine.  My most recent example of this is West Side Story.  I try to load the page, but all that comes up is the description, and I know people have seen this one!  The tag cloud and everything else is gone and it says "error on page" at the bottom of my browser.  But other movies that I load within seconds are fine.  Don't know what could be wrong, but I don't think it's me :-)
