How about some of the more successful women like Jane Curtin or Molly Shannon?

How about Jon Lovitz, even if he's more of a character supporting actor?

How about Phill Hartmann or Kevin Nealon (same thing)?

John Belushi is an important one though.

Wasn't Bill Murray also an SNLer?  And he's got loads of films.  Most of which are good.

It seems like Adam Sandler might be a significant inclusion...his early films (Happy Gilmore, and Billy Madison) were decent stoner comedy.  And his work with PT Anderson in Punch Drunk Love might be enough to get him into the catagorey of significant alone..that movie is good.

I don't think Bill Murray was on the "cast" per se.  He might have hosted or been a guest star a couple of times but I am not positive he was ever on the permanent roster.

Oh, but he WAS on the cast.  It was Steve Martin who was never in the cast but appeared so many times you probably felt like he was.
