Not too many people realized The Departed was a remake until it was nominated for a number of Oscars and Infernal Affairs was eventually brought into the light. Did Martin Scorsese put his signature on the film or was it just another Americanization of an already great Chinese film? Does a noted director and some A-List actors make up the requirements to make a remake good?
