George Clooney
Does George Clooney bother anyone else? I hate to be a playa hater, but I think he thinks he's a lot cooler than he actually is. I mean, what great films has he ever been in? My vote is none. And I hear what he did to Kaufman's script for Confessions of a Dangerous Mind was atrocious.

Re: George Clooney
See, now I like George Clooney. His presence and aura just screams "Old Hollywood" he is a class act, I really respect that about him. Some of his movies aren't real deep, but are still fun to watch, like Ocean's 11 and Ocean's 12 - they were entertaining, the acting was great in it, but it is because it was an ensemble cast of very talented actors. I am probably one of the few that also enjoyed Solaris.
George Clooney's best work, in my opinion, is Out of Sight - have you seen it? Great flick.

Re: George Clooney
I agree with Kami.. Has anyone seen Syriana? In my opinion that was his best performance.

I recently saw 3 kings. I take back some of my negatives. that was good movie. I guess if you have a wide enough body of work, your going to have some stinkers in there every once and a while.

Re: George Clooney
And I don't now how you could deny the brilliance of his performance in his work with the Coen brothers. O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Intolerable Cruelty. And supposedly he is starring in the upcomming Hail Caeser. I think they were calling this the Idiot Trilogy.

Re: George Clooney
I really like George Clooney ON FILM - in real life he bugs the hell out of me. Maybe I've seen one Barbra Walters special too many, but he seems the epitome of that entitled, leftist, elitist, Hollywood jackass syndrome that makes me want Hollywood to drop into the Pacific. He seems so arrogant and he really likes to tell us all about how much fun he and his buddies have making Oceans 11 & 12. Watch when The next Oceans movie comes out - we will be inundated with news specials/talk shows/ publicity specials showing the cast members laughing hysterically at every unfunny inside joke and on-set story they bring up - it makes me a little sick. Fortunately, I am able to seperate George Clooney celebrity from George Clooney actor - I do the same with Tom Cruise lunatic celebrity and Tom Cruise film star. Clooney and Cruise both have a lot of presence on screen and they pick their projects very well. Many may disagree but I enjoy almost all their films.
