I am going to buy this one
I remember my parents listening to Johnny Cash when I was younger and I never really like his stuff, but after seeing this film, the next CD I buy will be this soundtrack! Amazing film, I could not get it out of my head!!

I haven't seen it. And I know that it is pheonix singing in the film but is it him on the soundtrack? If it is, you should just get Johnny's versions!

That is a great soundtrack to a great movie. The next soundtrack I'm going to buy is:
The Birds Sountrack
Sufjan Stevens says it's his favorite.

Yeah, this movie more inspired me to find a Johnny Cash anthology or something when I get around to it... :-)

Yep, it's Pheonix and Witherspoon on the soundtrack in addition to a handful of other actors. It's a good soundtrack and I bought it off iTunes right after seeing the movie. But they're no comparison to Johnny's originals. So if you're new to Cash's music, definitely check out the original versions in addition to the soundtrack.

The beginning of the movie with the inmates clapping and pounding on the table waiting for Johnny to take stage was quite and adrenaline rush.
