Here are some details: http://www.deadlinehollywooddaily.com/new-rules-okayed-for-81st-academy-awards/ Yeah I found that so absurd this year when three songs from one movie were nominated. And the movie looked horrible. The result of nominating three from one movie seemed to me to make the songs and movie look worse than if just one were nominated. It just kind of seemed like they were saying "well there were hardly any movies with songs in them this year so we'll just nominate a bunch of your songs to fill in the gaps." And it looks even worse when none of the songs even won!

Especially since even if only one song from Enchanted had been nominated, the song from Once was critically acclaimed, popular, and pretty much going to take the taco from the get-go. It was like piling on the absurdity.
