Best of the Best!

I submit for consideration for some of the all-time best credit sequences 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail'.  The subtitles are absolutely hilarious in that fake-scandinavian language, and the mid-switch to a mariachi theme after 'those responsible for the subtitles' got 'sacked' was briliiant.  Reflects Monty Pythons humor perfectly--start with ordinary and work your way up to utterly ridiculous.

One of my favorite credit sequences is the one for HARRY POTTER & THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN.  The whole sequence takes the concept of the Marauder's Map (from the movie and the books) and throughout the sequence you see little footprints walking around on the map. But if you pay attention there are little jokes like Lupin's footprints that start out shoes and then change to paw prints. And others that gang up on someone with someone disappearing.

I so totally agree.  I've seen this movie 97 times, and each time, I still catch something I never saw before.

Actually, I just watched The Simpsons Movie again, and both credit sequences are hilarious, maybe moreso than the actual film.
