Drag Me to Hell

THIS MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS SO IF YOU STILL HAVEN'T SEEN IT, YOU MAY NOT WANT TO READ THIS:

Okay, I saw Drag me to Hell a couple of weeks ago and thought it was a very fun movie.  It was extremely predictable in some parts but it was highly entertaining.

There were some incredibly gross parts but when it did get really disgusting it was also really funny and just made me laugh.  Like the old lady when she lost her teeth and started trying to gum the young woman to death, or all the saliva everywhere.  I just started cracking up.  I did guess the ending pretty early though but other than that, it was a very good date movie.  So, has anyone else seen this movie?  What did you think?

Re:Drag Me to Hell

I'm pretty much in agreement with everything there.  There are definitely some things I loved about the movie, but there were a couple of things that bothered me.  The obviousness of the whole envelope switcheroo being one of them (but then again, even when you predict it, it can be somewhat satisfying, depending on whether or not you like the main character).

But I loved the "hankerchief as recurring villain" bits, and of course my favorite part of the movie was the fact that there was an anvil hanging in the shed. I was laughing hysterically when I noticed that, to the point where I think I was making other people in the theater nervous.

Ultimately, it's a fun little horror movie that doesn't try to be any more than what it is, and it works really well on that level.   It's not quite up there with Evil Dead II or anything, but still a fun time.  Definitely worth a rental if you get a chance...

Yes, the button in the envelope was sooooooo predictable.  There were a few other things that were extremely predictable too.  I LOVED the fight scene in the parking garage, that was just brutal and hilarious at times, the graveyard was also great.

I'm with you, the Evil Dead movies are pretty high up there on my scale too!
