Re: can i get a top ten?

This is definitely going to be difficult to do, so I'm not even going to rank them.. so here is just my top 10, in no particular order:

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery

Spaceballs

Dumb and Dumber

Happy Gilmore

Billy Madison

Anchorman

Elf

Well that's 7. Honestly those are my top 7, pretty much above the rest. Here are a bunch that come close though:

Austin Powers in Goldmember

Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story

Wedding Singer

Wedding Crashers

40 Year Old Virgin

Old School

Princess Bride

American Pie/American Wedding

Talladega Nights

Blades of Glory

The Waterboy

Blazing Saddles

Kingpin

Office Space

The New Guy

Hot Shots/Hot Shots: Part Deux

Super Troopers

Tommy Boy

Black Sheep

Zoolander

American Psycho (not technically a comedy I guess, but it's quite funny.. it's also commonly mistaken for a horror film as well, so.. bleh)

Hot Fuzz

Yeah I'll come up with something. I'm hoping we can get some other people talking on here though, so it's not just me and you. Hahahah

And yes, I'm definitely a big fan of Sandler and Ferrell, and SNL.

Ten makers of comedy from the past.  One movie from each would make a good list.

1. Bowery Boys

2. Martin and Lewis

3. Three Stooges

4. Marx Brothers

5. Francis the Talking Mule

6. Abbott and Costello

7. Crosby and Hope

8. Laurel and Hardy

9. Harold Lloyd

10. Chaplin

Sadly enough, while I have heard of most of those (with the exception of 1 and 5), I wouldn't be able to name a single movie any one of them has done.

4. Punch-Drunk Love

5. Plane, Trains and Automobiles

6. Little Nicky

Re: can i get a top ten?

I've seen Airplane, My Cousin Vinny, and well.. the second Jackass. I own Punch Drunk Love, Little Nicky, and Analyze This. I know I've seen but I can't remember Naked Gun or Groundhog Day very well.

I can't say I'd put any of them near the top of my favorite comedies list.. though I'd like to see Waiting for Guffman. I've heard good things.
