Can't quite grasp the message

I saw this film, and really liked it, but I still have a hard time figuring out the director's point. And what did you think about every story being unresolved? Let me know what you think.

Re: Can't quite grasp the message

I haven't seen this film yet. But in general, I rather like when a story goes unresolved because it's often the director letting me in on a question rather than trying to give me an answer. An unresolved story, when it's done well, is more rewarding because I find myself mentally going back and mining it for clarity. Usually, I think there is some sort of resolution. Just not an obvious one.

Now I'm anxious to check this flick out.

Re: Can't quite grasp the message

Oh, I LOVE films without resolution. Its more like real life. (But I do hate it when people try to speculate what would have happened, or what will happen...just enjoy the slice of life the film offered), and I loved nine lives, but it wasn't the no resolution thing that slightly confuses me, but was wondering if people noticed any kind of theme other than "glimpses into the lives of random women whose lives are kind of connected." I did enjoy the film. Just wondering if somebody saw something more.

P.S. enjoy the acting. Superb. The camera runs each 7-10 minute scene without cutting. Phenomenal steadycam work.

P.S.S. I shouldn't have named it "Can't grasp the message" because I don't think the director had a message to preach. I just want some other insights into this film.
