Moonshine

It's really interesting to me that a movie about breaking out of the box was told in an "upside-down way," as a horror movie. How much does this limit its potential audience, though? Is it just me, or is it harder to take horror movies as seriously as "straight" dramas?

I also thought, Wow, a whole town is fascinated by art that's really dark? Sounds like a premise for an awesome movie, a town that decided to pool its resources and do some really dark "art."

That struck me, too. In fact, that kinda fascinated more than the trailer for the film itself, which sort of looked like "Carrie Goes to the Chapel."

Hm, I think I wouldn't mind seeing "Carrie Goes to the Chapel." But I'm also interested in seeing a movie that plays like a documentary: the town comes together to make the horror movie, and truly horrific things start happening.

Yeah, it's a predictable idea. But I think it could work.
