Thirteen people can't be wrong, dude--it's worth watching. But seriously, the movie's an interesting species of exploitation. It draws on the kung-fu craze (a character uses what feels like minutes of Bruce Lee footage to entice someone to make out with her). More notable is that with its soundtrack and lip-synced live peformances, the whole thing feels like marketing for Motown records. I don't think Berry Gordy would've made this movie purely for a love of film, though this film is worth loving.

** Unlike some other lists, I picked an Angela Viracco, Kristin Chenoweth, that could really sing because this is after all a musical. However, with her range and experience I think she could pull off a role that would make her a "want-a-be" yet still be able to entertain us.

I've waited to recast The Last Dragon myself, since I started this game. But now that a winner is chosen (to be announced on Friday's Filmspotting) I'll weigh in my cast for The Last Dragon remake:
 Paul Dano - Leroy Green

 Alec Baldwin- Eddie Arkadian
 Chris Tucker - Sho'nuff
 Kim Basinger - Angela Viracco
 Martin Lawrence - Richie Green
 Delroy Lindo - Daddy Green
 Luis Guzman - Johnny Yu
 Michelle Yeoh - Master
Directed by Brett Ratner
Some may find the selection of Paul Dano to break with the original blaxploitation genre of Dragon. But I thought that if Delroy Lindo could pass off being Dano's father whose white wife had split, it would be an appropriate politically correct update that would be necessary for making this movie today.
