For about two years in my teens, I spent more time playing Street Fighter II than doing homework. I was best with Guile, who was so cool that I'd try to do Flash Kicks in my backyard. I even wished I had his blood type (Type O).
Needless to say, the Street Fighter movie with Jean-Claude VanDamme (1994) was a bit of a let-down. Will Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li (coming out 2/27) be any better? Probably. But it can't be as good as the movies you come up with...
