Sylvester Stallone

Person: Sly, Greatest Work: Rocky/Rambo (Well at least this is what he will go down in history remembered best), Gossip: Well, about a week or two ago Sly was convicted of importing banned substances in Australia.  He was ordered to pay court costs and about 10,000 dollars in fines.  The substances were reported to be human growth hormone and testosterone.  Sly claims to have "medical" reasons for obtaining at least some of the drugs.  He also said these performance enhancing drugs help make him feel good and younger so he can finish the latest installment of the Rambo series.  I realize that Sly is no longer 13 and that he is not competing in the tour de France, but I hope the youth of this world do not use him as an example in this case.  Although these drugs naturally occur in the body, significant side effects have been proven by the exogenous administration of these (especially in younger people who do not have a deficiency to begin with).  These of course vary with dosage, age, and duration of use.  The use of these and related drugs are not new but still need to be monitored.   Although much research is still ongoing for this controversial fountain of youth, I hope the public in general will wait for further FDA testing and approval (if any ever happens) before turning to illegal means to obtain perscriptions.  Enough medical talk.  Does anyone know about this latest Rambo installment?  I did not see it but his 2006 Rocky Balboa had mixed reviews.

Re: Sylvester Stallone

I've heard that in addition to the drugs, he's had a lot of work done. But for a man in his sixties, I thought he looked absolutely terrific in Rocky Balboa.

I was in the airport waiting for a flight two weeks ago (?) and TV news on the sets at the gate had a repeating story about his arrest. He looked pretty upbeat as he left the station.

(Have heard no buzz about Rambo.)
